A beautifully ornate pair of vintage Castilian brass fireplace chenets, made in Italy, featuring an elegant European neoclassical design with French Empire and Louis XVI influences.

Each chenet is crowned with a substantial urn-form finial topped by a textured acorn/pinecone motif. Elaborate floral garlands, bows, foliage, architectural details, and a decorative balustrade give this pair exceptional presence. Smaller urn-form finials with hanging ring accents complete the design.

The warm aged brass finish has wonderful variation and patina that accentuates the intricate cast detailing. These are substantial decorative pieces that would be especially striking flanking a fireplace opening or styled on a hearth.
